Our Ground Angus Top Sirloin is not the same as grocery store "Ground Sirloin". In a grocery store they traditionally grind lean "Sirloin Tip" giving you dry, unflavorful ground beef.

Our 100% Ground Top Sirloin is ground whole steaks with the fat cap included giving it just the right amount of fat to be flavorful but still tender, about 10-15% Fat.

Since our Ground Top Sirloin comes from whole steaks, the final product results in a tender and flavorful meals!

-Sirloin Tip is not a real sirloin but is a lean muscle located just above the knee of the steer. Sirloin Tip contains silver and grissel making it an undesirable cut for steak. This cut ground generally produces an extra lean, unflavorful end product.

VS

-Top Sirloin is a whole muscle located at the hip of the steer and contains part of the same muscles as the porterhouse and new york steak. Top Sirloin is generally reserved for lean, tender steaks and can be found on many menus across the globe.
